How to Find Your Jade Bangle Size

Getting the right fit for petite wrists — a simple 2-step guide

Why Sizing Matters for Jade Bangles

Unlike western bracelets with clasps and adjustable chains, jade bangles have a fixed inner diameter — they don’t open or resize. To wear one, it must pass over your knuckle. A bangle that’s too small simply won’t go on; one that’s too large will slip off and risk cracking — or worse, damaging the stone. For petite wrists, this fit challenge is magnified because standard bangles (56–60 mm) are almost always too big. Finding the right size isn’t just about comfort — it’s everything.

How to Measure (Step-by-Step)

All you need is a flexible tape measure or a thin strip of paper and a ruler. Takes about two minutes.

Measure Your Knuckle

Bring your four fingers together and close them tightly — as if passing a bangle over them. Wrap a flexible tape measure or a strip of paper around the widest point of your four knuckles. Note the measurement in centimeters.

Convert to Inner Diameter

Divide your knuckle circumference by π (3.14) to get the minimum inner diameter you need. Add 1–2 mm for comfort.

Examples:
  • Knuckle circumference: 16 cm → minimum inner diameter: ~51 mm ✓
  • Knuckle circumference: 17 cm → minimum inner diameter: ~54 mm ✓

Check Your Wrist

Your wrist should fit with a little movement — about 5–10 mm of play is ideal. Too snug = uncomfortable. Too loose = risk of slipping.
